Workshop on e-Georgia Strategy Paper

Data Exchange Agency within the scope of TWINNING project aiming to promote the strengthening of E-governance in Georgia organized two-day workshop on May 21-22 at Sheraton Metechi Palace Hotel.

During the two-day workshop, the invited audience had an opportunity to follow the current status of the e-Government Strategy and Action Plan Paper, as well as participated in group works to elaborate the missing part of the Paper. The final goal of the workshop is to further elaborate e-Georgia Strategy based on the best EU practices and Georgian reality, discussed and agreed by main stakeholders.

The ultimate goal of the event is to further develop e-Georgia strategy paper, which is supposed to be based on the best EU practices and Georgian reality. We have also discussed E-Georgia Strategy Paper action plan with our key partners.” – Irakli Gvenetadze, DEA Chairman.

The e-Government strategic document will feature activities facilitating development of ICTs, their utilization and formation of information society. List of important projects for development of e-Governance will be identified, as well as business and civil society involvement and legal, regulatory and technical environment issues.
